International Mother Language Day seeks to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
Today 21st February is celebrated as International Mother Language Day(Canada). A very well-known personality said “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language that goes to his heart” said Nelson Mandela.

The Official Languages Act (1969) is the federal statute that made English and French as the official languages of Canada. Almost all sort of economic immigration to Canada requires the results of a language test in order to apply.
